Cats meowing sounds like baby crying

  Can be quite scary at night.My room is facing the corridor.Sometimes the cats will makin noises like baby crying,in the middle of the night.

  ya something like that.. but its a different kinda mewing.. not the gentle soft soft kind. quite freaky when u hear it in the middle of the nite..
