maybe young footballers special treatment and cannot have jailed time as have to represent singapore in matches. Overall , why interest to get them off the jailed hook by probations?Its obvious gang rape , girl reported, police acted why judges need so many buts and probation to study how to avoid jail time for them. case should be straight forward. jail time and fine.

one of the footballers is my sec schmate.. well, let's just say i was frm the 1st class while he, the last.
k things aside, he's the typical mat you see everywhere. however, he is a national footballer

Probation report, youths tender age and spotless criminal record, youthful offenders, absolutely clean records, first brush with the law.

did other teenage offenders get jail terms too in prior cases?
if so, then it is only fair that they are given the same punishment. otherwise i see no purpose in ruining their lives. -

Arrrgh.... just toss all the four footballers in jail. Heck, if I had it my way, I'd throw in a few strokes of the cane for good measure.
Sure, they are 'young' and have 'spotless records', but so does virtually every person who gets caught for having underaged sex. Whatever the girl's intentions were, regardless of whether she was out to seduce them or not, the bottom line is that they all took advantage of her and committed statutory rape.
What kind of message are we sending if all those fellas get away with nothing but probation? As long as you have great footballing skills, you can get away with crime? Those so-called footballers are an insult to to the world of football! -

Nowadays kids are getting matured fast.. Double standars. They are getting away scott-free. Its really sad. What would they get away with next ? How can any rape victim trust , singapore law, if this ppl can get away. WHats the use of reporting ?

And when they come out... kick them out of the national team and ban them from football for life. They are an insult to Singapore if they should ever don national colours. I certainly do not want to see rapists representing my country.
