Its quite contradicting...I seem to be always praying for e perfect guy to come along & sweep me off my feet with his charm
Yet when god gifts me wif e sweetest guy I know and he is relentless in his persue
I cannot find myself saying yes...I'm secretly holding out for someone better
"Better" is contradicting in itself...why do e "Bad Boys" seem to be always able to get more attention?
My sweet guy...I can't bear to let him go...I'm afraid there is none like him after he's gone....yet i can't vision myself ever saying yes...
Am i e worst person there is?
I cherish e hope that he will forgive me someday...

Story :
An old man told his son to go out to the fields to pick up the most perfect flower
and the boy goes off .. he saw the first and said it was nice but not perfect enough. Then he walked along and saw another pretty flower but still did not think it was perfect and on he walked. One after anohter ... he saw many pretty flowers but none where perfect. So he sadly go home empty handed to his father. He told his father he could not find the perfect flower.
The next day his father once again told him to get the perfect flower. The boy goes out and immediately saw a beautiful flower. Without hesitation, he quickly picked it and went home.
There are a couple of morals in this story. You go figure out. -

He have provided a sweet guy which is just your type right in front of you.
You're happy, yet cannot look past the fact that within you, desire a adventurous kind of relationship. A relationship which truly sweeps you off your feet and get lost in it(for that moment of time)
And you doubt that the sweet guy have the quallities to bring you to the excitement of a ideal relationship you're yearning.
You should let him go and get yourself a guy who can hurt you.
Until you can say yes to him. Let him go.

To look for perfection is a futile exercise which will lead to frustration.
Therefore the boy ended up with nothing just as a person who look for prefection in a life partner will end up with no one.
Second day, he had his first hard lesson on his first day, he goes out and immediately grab the first flower he sees and not even bothering to look any further. Therefore, is he short changing himself for that better flower which is possible and highly propable.
Therefore, what is contentment, what is the measure of a close perfection comes into play. Each and everyone has a "perfection" standard but to expect prefection is not reasonable. But to not have a "standard" and just pick the first one is also no going to work out. Based on the "prefect/ideal" that a person is looking for, if a person can find a partner who is 70-80% close to one's definition of perfection, then this is close enough.
But I feel this thread starter do not really know what she is looking for, and she's fairly young and can bid her time. And through a bit of selfish though is not letting go and leading the fellow on. The fellow is like a spare tyre for her to fall back on. She does not seem to really like the guy anyways... however, its just something of a gut feel... might not be true.. -
