Btw i am residing in the US. I am film student The arts faculty I was in they often study film and music from India.. The musical pieces are interesting to begin with as case studies of technology vs art.The imagination is unique on canvas.
I had read research papers on Raja, Rehman the musicians and Satyajit Ray films. One wont find such fields of studies in Singapore. -
For eg. Raaja is an 80s composer when compared to rehman who is tech savy
Both have heavy use of leitmotifs in their music.
Rehman graduated with a degree from the Trinity college of music in London..
And they have been invited to work in the western world. Raaja had won the following accolades from the western world
Conferred the Cultural Doctorate in Philosophy of Music, in April, 1994, by the World University Round table, Arizona, USA.
Award of Appreciation presented in the year 1994, by the Foundation and Federation of music of North America. -
