WHAT is the local job market like at the moment?
Sohguanh thinks the situation is still quite bad despite reports of high economic growth. He writes: 'The job market is quite different from before, especially with a lot of foreign talent fighting with you for that slice of the pie. You have got to be better than them to survive.'
Netizens also expressed concern that many jobs are offered on a contract basis.
Dragg says: 'It's really a bad thing. If your contract happens to end on or around a recession, you are dead meat. No job and no com- pensation. It will be even worse if you are old by then.'
