Tio Suay! - Compulsory donation to police

This morning I donated $20 to police very UNWILLINGLY at my place!
I stayed here for more than 5 years and have been crossing the road, just like everybody else.
Then suddenly, this man in blue stop me in my stride while talking to an ah peh. He kept talking to the ah peh while making me wait. I got fed up and asked 'what's the problem'. He stopped his conversation and said I jaywalked and asked why I don't use the overhead bridge which is just a few steps away.
Dang! I was loss for words! I suddenly realise that there is an overhead 'white elephant' which everybody has so well-preserved by not using it. But it just doesn't make sense to utilise the 'white elephant' just to cross the 2 lanes. Everyone ignores the 'white elephant' and cross the 2 lanes, so much more efficient!
Nevertheless, from the expression of the man in blue, I reckon he and his organization must not have been paid well. So I grudgingly fish out my ID and UNWILLINGLY donated $20.
To think that 3 to 4 persons have been activated to solicit for involuntary donation at the same place, I reckon their year-end bonus really need a boost.
2 hours later, I went back to the same spot, I saw at least 15 students and ah pehs and ah sohs crossing the road and waiting in between the 2 lanes. Where are the men in blue? Not a single one in sight.
Conclusion: I tio suay! -

Indeed you are suay! So he got issue summons? In the paper got numbers? Go buy 4D or Toto lor. Maybe can recoup your $20 hahahaha.....

Think cannot be stand whole day catch ppl lah. Once quota reached can answer to the top can already. Think so siao on meh. Catch more also no incentive why so on rite? I think it just happen Homebody very suay to be kena caught.
Conclusion: See man in blue please act law abiding. You dun wanna attract their attention.

not surprising, at orchard road junction, I also occasionally got see policeman standing there to catch people crossing when red man is lit.

u dun pay him cash...he will issue one "notice to pay" and u will pay at the designated police statin and department. but before he demand u pay he has to take down your particulars and issue the "notice" to pay. and before u do anything make sure the blue man not NPCC and make sure he produce his ID...u need some ID. only TP can do this...other police usually won't bother about it. just like those Vice trashing pirating activities. only with a warrant can they search one shop. if they know the other shop also got activities but no official warrant o search the shop and their accounts...they cannot.
