  Singapore City: Capital city of the Republic of Singapore
  
  How come Singapore government cannot come up with some creative ideas of naming the capital of Singapore instead of using the plain and boring "Singapore City"? Can we suggest using names like "Raffles City" as a tribute to the British founder, or "Temasek City" in which linking the island state to its ancient history?

  Perhaps we should have a referendum on whether Toa Payoh, Ang Mo Kio, Bedok, Tampines, Ghim Moh, Chua Chu Kang, Yishun, Bishan, Bukit Batok, Kallang, Bukit Merah...................etc. etc. is to be the capital of Singapore.
