presbyopia, occuring with old age

PCT got it right... anything with presby in front comes with old age...
Presbyopia This refers to a progressive reduction in the eyeÂ’s ability to focus, which leads to a consequent difficulty in reading at the normal distance.
It usually starts at middle-age, and is due to age-related loss of elasticity of the lens.
PresbyacusisFor this, it refers to progressive impairment of hearing that occurs with aging, especially as regards to high-frequency sounds (degeneration or more rather, the loss of hair cells in the cochlear comes with age and cumulative trauma from high pitched sounds).
