I was on a crowded train one evening. Near me sat 3 sec sch boys in uniform. They were carrying some boxes with them which they stuffed them under An ANG Moh boarded the train and stood in front of them.
After a while, he told the boys loudly "Hey Gentleman! why r u sitting dw and the ladies standing? Is this what u were taught in sch?" The boys looked stunned, looked at each other and din move. The ladies who stood nearby looked embarassed.
Tat Ang Moh continued "Hey, I'm serious, give up ya seats, come on!"
The 3 worried boys then started to carry their barang barang and stood up and ended up hand-carrying the boxes.
With 3 vacant seats, no lady made a dash. That Ang Moh now turned to the ladies and said "Go on, sit down come on."
The ladies looked even more embarassed, giggled and the seats were ultimately taken.
Wat crap! i wonder where this guy is from and if such graciousnes is really practised by all his countryman. -

I believe if the school boys are "ang moh" too. They would probably reply, "Why don't you mind your own business".
The ang moh is simply retard. Anyway, there's no pt discussing since the thing is over. -
well it really should depend on the situation.... the boys got tons of load with them so it's appropiate that they have the seats.... moreover women and men are so called on equal status nowadays....
however if we were to change the senario to the boys having the seats with nothing i think it's of personal issue to give up the seat or continue seating there... cause men and women are equal now if they never let the seat and if the boys let the seats it's more of a gentlemen behaviour....
it's a free world the caucasian has no rights to scold the boys.... pity those boys

ill never give up those seats if i were in their position. the ang mo was rude. i wld probably say that i was very tired, worked here and there, and if he just like to play hero, den go to hell.

Well Children & Elderly should sit, I don't think our local Institution got a module that teaches Kids give up their seats for Ladies. Obviously, our Foreign friend probably got a thing for our Local Ladies... hahaha Ridiculous! What a making of a Gentleman, must be legalised Mafia in Action...
Being a Gentleman takes more than that it comes from the heart not through word of mouth. Loose Talk does not amount to Action. I am sure the Ladies obviously felt ultimately embarrassed by this little melodrama onboard public transport.

Wow, was that guy trying to impress any of the ladies in the train or did he just got scolded by his boss?
And another thing that makes me puzzled? Why do ladies giggle? They seem to like to giggle for nonsensical reasons. -

I juz dun get it y some people, especially guys, like to sit on the ground beside the doors. It's quite disturbing if the train is crowded and ladies wearing skirt have to stand beside them. -
