Im buying a laptop... personal one.... wad brand should i buy... dell? acer? thinkpad? compaq?
using the com mainly for com games/school... need advice. incase i waste $$

Budget usually build yourself. Or if you don't know, Dell is the best. They are the cheapest among all brands I know. get an IBM. I have a T43 and it has been really good so far
I heard that T42 might be better than T43 actually and it might be cheaper too. So you can check that out as well -
