Why do people do some things they dislike?

I'm talking about in general.
As in for instance, "why are you working as a chef when you dislike being a chef?"
And not "why do you write a report for work-purposes when you dislike writing reports?" or "why do you work at all, if you dislike working?"
I feel... that life is short. It's your life, you run it, so you have a choice of what you want to do. And sometimes, it's not a matter of "I have no choice", but rather how hard you work at finding alternatives.
And if die die people must do something they don't like, I think then they should change their perspective so maybe they'll find that things aren't so bad after all.
Aye? What does anybody think?

i don't go out very often nowadays, so when i run into problems i need people to tell me what's wrong or whatsoever because i find that i'm unable to be a good judge of things...

she have a choice to choose which company she want to or which stuff she wants to do to achieve that target --> she made that choice
...then maybe a few years down the road, she finds that her job is getting harder and harder, but she knows that her goal is within reach, so by just bearing with it, she might eventually reach there...
she made another choice again
...then now, she complains because she has more workload coming in, but she knows that her bigger plan is set, her major workload (or so it seems which she dislike it) is her final obstacle perhaps for her achievement in her primary goal, her current so called dislike is felt because she wanted something less tough towards the very end and quickly reach her ultimate goal...
most humans are like that... she again made the final choice to bear with it to see a bigger result...

maybe i was especially affected by her whining because she said i was spoilt because i've never done things i dislike... lately been very touchy towards comments like these... because i'm seeing more and more how much i can't do things on my own.... -

I consider myself extremely fortunate because whereever I go there's always at least one person to help me when I'm in trouble, or someone to pick up after me, or someone who makes sure I'm safe. ...it's best to start to learn to be independent now whilst you still have ppl ard you supporting you in every ways, for things that you have done wrong, could be corrected by the experienced...

be independent if possible but ask for help when needed oso...dun over rely others cos u never know when they wun be there for u but u always know urself will be there for u always. -

eg. NS...some people hate NS...but you tell me NS will not make you a better man? -
Well I graduated from engineering...but I dont really like engineering coz my interest is in fine arts and music...

1) a pianist who was formally taught music and practical piano at an early age because his/her parents wants him/her to musically involved
2) a pianist who had no formal training in music theory or practical piano, and who plays EVERYTHING by ear, and who is a drop out in school because of his passion in music
Which of the above, will play or perform well in a concert, or as a professional pianist/musician? -
most of the ppl work to earn a living , to earn the income that they yearn, not by interest.. most ppl drag themselves to work , drag themselves home everyday , they do not look forward to their work at all, let alone an interest
all cos of money , not interest, whether they can find other alternatives is not important, its just about the money
