Video Camera repairs...

  Hey forumites,
  
  recently, my video Cam (JVC DV503) just broke down.
  
  the control panel where the Zoom, record, menu and index buttons are located does not seem to work.
  
  When I turn on my video cam, it will automatically zoom out all the way, and stay that way. no matter what I press or scroll on that control panel, nothing changes.
  
  I consulted with JVC, they asked me to send it in, but they said that it'll cost at minimium $80 to repair...
  
  is there anywhere else that is reliable and more affordable that i can bring my cam to repair?

  Well all i can say, if you want a good repair let JVC handle, thats if you treasure the cam alot.

  video camera a bit outdated nowadays
  
  choose digital cameras...u still can make short movie clip with it
  
  and also easier to upload to PC wif the digital camera
