  i am not paying anything but i heard that one can use giro to send money so i thought every citizen in singapore has a giro a/c...but i don't know where can i get my giro a/c and i don't really know much abt giro

  giro is used when u are paying to some organisation
  like ur singtel bill.....internet bill.......ur utilities bill.......
  
  if u wanna pay or send money to individuals, can use internet fund transfer......

  must apply one lah
  the form can be obtained from the organisation u are paying to....
  have to fill in ur bank details where they will deduct money automatically every mth......

  giro is a "method of payment".
  
  say you pay hp bills use giro.. top-up ezlink use giro.. it's "automated". $ deducted frm ur bank a/c. if give u $, means automatically go ur bank a/c ah.

  ok i just found out what is giro on google...stupid of me...should have type google what is GIRO instead of GIRO a/c singapore

  GIRO is something that save the trouble of u going to post office or SAM machine to pay ur bill.
  On the other hand, it is also a tool to make sure the govt get ur money as fast as possible.
