Can a limited account view comp administrator account files

  lets say a laptop got 2 acc , 1 is a limited acc n another is administrator acc..my qn is can the limited acc view files made by admin acc?

  It is possible, if you use some commands and the limited acc user knows the Administrator account or another Admin's password.

  Hmm... I can say for sure that yes, a limited account can view the stuff in the My Documents folder of an admin account on the same machine. I have 2 accounts like what thread starter said and i tried it and it works like that.

  So it seems like the only limitation of the limited account is that he cannot install / run some programs, or change some important system control panel settings.

  so is only my documents folder? ..for me the limited acc cant see admin doc folder sying that its restriced

  ii think its dependent on the settings the administrator sets so abit of a non-issue since diff comps will be diff

  It depends on what filesystem your hard disk has... NTFS or FAT32. FAT32 is the older filesystem also used for windows 95, 98 and ME, so it has no sense of file / folder security, any user can access any file with the same rights.
  
  NTFS is the windows NT/ 2000 filesystem so it has knowledge of user priviledge. so admin protected file cannot be viewed by user on NTFS drives.

  dunno i know some comps they set until everything also cannot do one but i never try b4 so not sure
