Hi bros, anybody know how to retrieve all the previous chats from mirc...I heard that even if you dont save the chats...They will still be automatically stored in your pc in which this is how police crack down some irc chat cases...
Anybody know on how to retrieve those chat files? Pls share here.. -

I didnt do anything but just want to unbreak this secret that most people do not know how to or ever heard of such thing....Any genuine IT experts know how..It is not very difficult i think...

auto saved in ur mirc folder name log....

anyway... no use finding it...
if you use your pc to do some crime... even when you delete all concerning files...
as long as its the same harddisk... they still have ways to retrive the infomation from that harddisk. -

you will find out that the more you reformat the less space your hardisk has this is because you can never entirely wipe out all the data.Originally posted by ceecookie:but reformatting it will erase it right?

save the trouble..throw away the hard disk...surely its worth rather then a police case

Use Bcwipe for Windows XP, throw something in your recycle bin, wipe it, wipe your free harddisk space 7 times. Use the US Department of Defense option.
If you really want to be thorough, do a reformat, wipe everything off, even existing files. Remove harddrive and wave a very strong magnet over it.

i think to get rid of stuff you have to overwrite the actual space that was used to store with something else cos the deletion is only logical deleting.

but anyway its harder to trace the IP address of the chatter for instant messenger..i read so in the news...

You wipe the data, the only way out. Unretrieveable, as the data is overwritten by NULL binary values.
