is the salary gap between a dip holder and degree too big?
i noticed that the pay diff could be as large as 1k for a fresh dip compared to a fresh degree holder.
Whereas the diff between an ITE and dip grad is not a lot.
any comments? -

for M&E ...i can say not much different -
Depends on your job. If its a GLC, then not too much. If a private co, then can be big different.

Poly grad starting salary should be within the range of S$1800-S$2200. And way back in 1998, starting starting pay for a poly grad is only S$1400-S$1600.

i have friends who is grad drawing abt $1800 only.
what you quote is only base on salary scale printed in handbook rite.
but how many of us are able to get the middle range not to say the highest range.

And my starting pay in 1995 is only S$950. Pay so low and doing all the 'sai-kang'. -

the word graduate is now used loosely ah... previously used to be only for university students... now even ITE also we use the word graduate. for ITE, now no more use the word Higher Nitec holder already ah?
