Dumb - a dead person's face lacks any expression.
Look into the eyes of a dead person - like my dad's - I see NOTHING. Meaning no one inside. His sould left, his character gone, no life in him, no sparkle of life in his eyes.
Agreeably the eyes of a dead person is dull, and scary for those who drowned, or hanged - they tend to look bulgy and face discolored.
but still, no fear, it's just dead meat.
I slept next to my granny's dead body long time ago during her wake.... -

Someone said civil servants are not supposed to grant interviews to the media. All interviews have to be handled by designated spokesperson/s. That was the problem when he talked to the media and showed his face.
