Is a 5-7 year age gap between a couple too big?

  it's the understanding of both parties that matters.
  
  hmm.. I have a fren whose bf is 33 years older than her.
  
  there will be differences in thinking, taste, watsoever.. and it's important how u deal with them..

  Well, like wat some of u all said, age is juz a number loh...If both parties realli love each other, then age shouldn't be a problem @ all...Its the understanding between the 2 persons loh...So wat if u n ur other half is almost the same age? That doesnt mean u 2 will get along veri well n dun quarrel rite? Its the maturity n thinking which is important lor....If 2 persons realli love each other, they will compromise with each other n solve their differences 2gether...thats wat make a relationship stronger n c how much they realli love each other...

  my last ex bf is 29 years old when i'm 18.. tts 11 years difference.. he's my oldest bf.. this could be pretty freaky coz he's ready for marriage and i'm not.. so i dun think i would work out very well.. unless i'm also prob at least 25? when i'm also ready for marriage? then againz i wanna marry at 30.. so its unfair to make him wait till he's 41.. its crazy!!~

  Err....Of coz the age gap shouldnt be 2 HUGE lah...noe wat i mean? Like an elderly with a young gal or vise versa...the topic was 5 to 7 years age gap mah...I think tats still acceptable lor....4 example, i have a gf who is 5 yrs younger than me...but the both of us r already working adults, so our lifestyles n priorities in life r almost the same, so wun clash so much..But if like a 30 year old man who wans 2 settle down liao, but the gal is only 20 or younger...of coz their thinking n priorities in life diff mah...Pple wan 2 enjoy life while young n dun wana tie down de mah...
  
  So bottomline is age gap dun realli matter...5 to 7 years still ok...most important thing is how the 2 individuals think n wat they realli wan from the relationship....Sori 2 say this, but some pple wans 2 get into a relationship juz 4 the sake of it while others r realli committed n realli want 2 find their other half from their relationship...Tats wat i think.....
