Singapore, too small to be noticed by Great Rock Bands???

Sum 41 came but they did a small gig... Baybeats invited bands from the states but they were... not that big. S'pore should get noticed in the music industry. Wont that bring in more tourist than the "Casino"

Anyway the only so called famous people that comes to singapore are those who stink. Once in a while a great band comes in and most of the time they have to cancel the gig. Singapores crowd isnt that helpful anyway. The free gigs are usually consisting of people passing by to watch and "cheena people who have nothing better to do." There will be a small group who are into the music and will me moshing around and the guards will come to stop it. Singapore isnt exactly helping itself.

they rarely get bigger than Pearl Jam..

after that, kinda dried up..
Linkin Park is big too.. but they're not that good.. they could be but their songwriting lets them down big time... -

It's bad enough the big acts don't come, the worst thing is that the tribute bands come in their place. Like the U2 tribute band. I think it's such an insult .

..... Great bands wanted to come, they want to play in a big vanue like those in the stadium arenas. What we have here is only the national stadium, unfortunately the numbers of rockers here are not enuff to fill up the stadium. Therefore, the promoters here won't want to take the risk.
Most of the great bands that came here were already passed their prime, so they don't mind playing anywhere, cause they got nothng to do at their home town. It's kind of holiday for them. Motley Crue is currently in Asia, again they by passed us. Helloween is on a world tour now, hopefully they make a stop at Malaysia or here. Rockers here are a suffering lots really

Anyone tried buying online CD from cdUniverse this website? Is it cheaper to buy from overseas online and ship to Spore or try to hunt for their albums in local Spore music stores?
I am getting those collection hits albums and if quite a lot can save on shipping cost?
Anyone if experience buying CD from online website wanna cite their experience and procedure and what to look out for like say spoilt CD on delivery etc etc?
