..... Perhaps you can try those Melodic metals : Laguna coil, Ice earth, Concerto Moon or Fear factory... alot of noise but got realy nice melody in between.Originally posted by sohguanh:I am more of the 70's to 80's era heavy metal bands. But I do draw the line at Slayer and other thrash speed metal band where it is hard for me to get their melody despite the noise.
I think Motorhead, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Helloween, Metal Church, Overkill etc are still within my interest cuz at least I can hear melody in their music. I dun like songs which just make a lot of noise for the sake of making noise. I want to hear melody amidst the noise. I wonder if anyone get my idea
Melody within noise hahaha is a very personal affair so I guess everyone definition is different.
Tarja maybe can perform at the esplanade, the rest of nightwish.....Originally posted by Hellraiza:emperor disbanded right?
maybe they should bring in those symphonic metal acts first, to test water... Nightwish and lacuna coil! then slowly bring in the big guns...heh heh heh.
But sometimes u can't really blame the government or organisers...if u were, for example Marilyn Manson, used to playing to FULL HOUSES in stadiums, blah blah blah...then ask u to play in some medium size venue with no guarantee of large turnout...would u play?
