It's really a big joke to see how it has become , 1 side is fighting for the right to kill a drug smuggler , the other side is fighting for the right to save a drug smuggler.
The whole world is fighting for a chance to publicise sg's treatment of drug smugglers. Crap i would say..but im surprised that M'sia is quiet. Each time SG gets into the world spotlight , M'sia would always join in the bashing during mahathir's period -

If i were mobilised to save Nguyen from Changi Prison or prevent Nguyen from being saved on 5 am (when execution starts) i would gladly slam down the phone.
It's dumb enough to rescue a drug smuggler and it's dumber to sacrifice your life to fight to rescue a drug smuggler and just to bring him back to Changi to hang him. -
It's also not like Nguyen is sabotaged and his brother is held at gunpoint , for that we can truly understand.
Anyway , with the emergence of long distance flights , the A380 can go all the way to australia.

Tho the context may be crappy, but the original poster does have a reason to urge caution.
It is probable that extremist organizations are looking for ways and means to destabilise the reason using whatever situations that come by. Perhaps even playing on this issue of the hanging, inciting dissent between the citizens of the 2 countries, and perhaps dissent among the citizens against their own countries.
It is therefore very important for bilateral ties between aussie n sg to remain firm and friendly. Even in the face of disagreements. -
