why i have problem reading book(novel)?

i can read and understand every single word what on BBC, CNN , CNA..etc .
but knn, i have to flip my dictionary so often and unusual when reading novel.
*example like harry potter book 6, i almost check online dictionary for XX times.
now really wonder how the primary sch student who proudly tell their mate that they had finish the book overnight with the time taken to flip dictionary. -
CNA, BBC use elementary language so that they can send news and messages across to people quickly.

forgive me , cos i really cannot get out from the impact of primary student just use 1 night to finish Harry Potter 6.

Both versions are the same right? Anyway HP is the only book I read.

The primary student sure skip words one lah, just to finish reading for the sake of finishing to show off nia (like me

What matters is you understand. When i read for the next few times, start to pull out dictionary liao.

i think im too used to reading things on a screen
the other day i tried to read a magazine and i find it difficult to read on paper and instead of turning the page, i was actually itching to scroll!

i am not surprised. i have seen some people taking donkey years to read one page of a novel.

interesting...sometimes, i also dunno what the word means, but as you read more and more books, i guess you tends to guess the word instead of actually finding out the meaning. haha
well, but i do see pp literally holding a dictionary and novel in their hand. OMG.
I only at HP book 4. hehe..just started out reading habbit....hhehe
