All cos i wanna be near to my wife as she's due for delivery in coming month. So sacrifice and took a pay cut of 50% leh.

Damn, I know of some uni grads who graduated in 2000, 2001 still earning $2.5K up till today. And mind you they are working in engineering and in the banking industry.
Apparently, they started off at a low $2K - $2.2K but wages were frozen during the 2002, 2003 and they only got a increment to about $2.5K plus last year when the economy picked up.
Maybe they might get another increment / promotion to $2.8K - $3K this year but imagine this - working for 5, 6 years and your salary is at $2.8K to $3K.
I am sure some fresh grads could possibly be starting off with $3K now.

Air cabin crew like steward and stewardess really earn a lot. I can confirm that as my neices are all that profession. They actually derive most of the money from flying allowances. Their basic is very low one.
There was a time when there was a cut down in plane trips due to certain reasons rite? Those neices all stay at home wait for call. That month their salary really low until pitiful.
So for cabin crew you must fly else you earn very little. Who says study high earn more.... these group of ppl study quite low can earn so much more leh. Downside is this profession can only last a few years before you are replaced by younger staff hahahaa... -
cabin crew, go bangkok/kl all this.. allowance low ah.. must go all the big places like europe.. USA.. dubai.. den their allowance is a LOT!!!
