a couple of mainstream ways to play FPS
get some dedicated game console (PS2, xBox etx)..c.can be connected to TV and played with game consoleor jogstick etc. The whole concept of game console is dedication to games along and prices are made affordable with better graphics quality and frames as compared to a smilar game played over the PC.
The PC on the other hand is more complicated. It can handle games and do more other type of work. The options on what a PC can offer and do are greater as compared to game consoles. High ended PC set ups can even rival the quality and reliability of game console set ups.
however, if you just want to play FPS games from your PC but instead of the user interface being a mouse, you can use a joystick or game pad and connect it to the GAME/ MIDI port at the rear or front of your PC. check your PC config for the presence of this connection if yr a OEM computer. If no, or if yr PC's DIY type, can get this game/midi port expanded via a rear PCI bracket or front bezel connection...provided your PC motherboard has the GAME/ Midi headers
