NS is good for your son

Because i want him to suffer and know what is life. And to really use his head, to analyse situations be more mature. Hopefully he will be like the common man, the ordinary man who has gone thru the parts and parcels of life.
Recently my sis -in law who married a westerner returned to singapore to visit us. The son as i can see ill disciplined, expect a lots, complains and whines about how hot the weather is here ect.
Most foreigners i seen from 1st world nations have no discipline excluding the ones from lesser developed countries who come here as FT . They are not as bad. -

in other words, he would have one extra unwanted record to his life, if he ever been to DB or declare depression/gay he would have some problems finding some jobs.

Maturity comes with age and experience. While our male counterparts in other countries are out studying, working, gaining valuable work experience, young Singapore males are forced to endure whats amounts to a slavery system.

I agree. Because in working life u want to learn by making mistake? It will cost u more than in NS. at least in NS u learn the same but chances are given to u. And to clear some doubts DB is not recorded in cicvilian life . correct me if i wrong. Army records should be classified and yr employer cant suka suka go and dig. -
in working life if u make a mistake u can always find another job. In NS if you make a mistake you got a record on you for life. In NS 2 yrs of your life is gone with shit pay, at least in your working life you get some money
