Frankly speaking, it has been some time since LHL has assumed office and i'm pretty sure that this is not the first GOH contingent that he has inspected. He should have already been aware of the neccesary protocols or actions that follow such parades.

Why does he need to bow to the German flag? Have u ever seen an Indo general saluting our flag? What is weird is that he didn't wait for Merkel and continue walking... But then before the flag both of them would be walking together, so if she stopped he would know what... Why did he keep walking? Maybe he doesn't even need to stop?

Normally, you are not required to bow to the foreign flag, but you've got to stand alongside if i'm not wrong.If he didnt have to, why did the protocol officer come in? -

thats the problem with some typical singaporeans.when we did something wrong ,we cover up my saying "o could it be a photo trickery or do we have to bow ?? " o come on it will be more gentleman of a country to just apologise if the media questions it.thay don't call it protocol for nothing,if everybody that high profile does not remember and who does ? are you telling me we will start to question do we have to follow the geneva convention when the war started?? -
