Culling of birds ethical?

U think its wrong to kill stray birds to prevent bird flu? Think about Humans..think about SARS...would THEY kill the humans once in a while to prevent it? Its VERY BAD. they should do something else instead of culling....they should! Some of them have babies to feed! They have a family!
Imagine yr parent dont return home one day to feed u. How will u feel?
One day u realised yr parent got poisoned by cunning human.
This earth belong to animal and bird and not only to human. They been around before human ever came about. -

the bottom line is the more you kill, the better the disease....
this is taken in the buddhism perspective. The more sins we do with culling, the dead birds spirits will have to be appeased....anyway, alot of "yuan(1) qi" around, by culling.
If you take the above point in scientific way, it is that when you cull away those birds that got the virus, only the STRONGER birds are retained. These birds are better able to accomodate the virus inside their bodies, and through time, the "unseen" or "unactive" virus to these birds will evolve and become stronger bird flu virus and become more harmful to humans....
those cullers and scientists really dun know what they are doing.
Btw i'm Ph.D. in engineering. (to substantiate this fact , also you can check this above point in the internet).
So, ultimately, the culling may be not just unethical, but unwise. Sin upon sin we do will only ultimately kill us.

yes yes, if mutual.
Humans feed on poultry, but microbes, bacteria, lices, worms, feed on us. (even when we are alive).
So nothing much really. The bad thing they fail to see is that culling will not solve things long-term.
To be ethical rather, though not financially sound, we should show empathy to the chickens etc, by trying to find a cure for them and help them, right?
Definitely, not kill them.
So, let's say your mum got SARs or some uncurable and infectious disease, you kill her? (touch-wood)

Messing around with nature will spoil the ecosystem. We need bees, insects to pollinate flowers and plants to sustain life.
People dont care. They care about mostly $$$. The pollution in singapore have to be controlled to curb the rising health costs. -
The Earth takes care of us by providing adequate food, energy and natural resources. In turn we have to take care of it too. We are part of its ecosystem and we have to play by its rules. Instead we are the main causing global warming
Dont mess with the earth. U cant control its fury. Human are powerless in the face of nature's forces such as Katrina and Tsunami... -
