mediacorp keep on showing advertisement abt donation donation and still..donation. The NKF cancer charity 2005 was gone not long ago..still remember abt zoe tay walking on steel nails and juz only i was watchin tv and saw tis new 1 abt tay ping hui and dunno who skipping 1...wah piang ehh SO MANY CHARITY tink we singaporeans all very rich ar everytime wans us call call call and donate and each time the donation gets higher.. agrees every1??

I donate, becuz i v seen someone who is struggling with his or her life, being less fortunate. Simply out of synpathy, i want to give what i can do for them.
I don't donate, becuz the shows sometimes carry a misleading msg, like if u call now, u might get rich with $$ prizes or a car will be under ur name. Well, that does not work 4 me, i feel bugged if i donate while the ads are aired. To give, is just simply to spare some of yours for those diseased. Motivation has to be out of heart, not the prizes.
Do u guys know, the biggest money-raising groups are in US. They don't have these little cute tricks or prizes for u to win, yet, ppl still pour their money in. Guess, that will not come in S'pore like now. Hopefully near future. -

it has evolve into a commercial tactic where advertisers see it as a good chance to advertise, sponsors rushing in to gain more airtime, overseas artistes using this chance to "da ge"
People who dunno really think the organisers like to do charity. ...
the worst thing is now we know that government dun really care what these charity organisations do with our money, and they still dare to say they support them.

Please also take into account the population ratio, GDP and average median household income in USA.
