U do not want 2 electrecute a bugger who carry a bomb!!!, in a detonator is circuits to detonate a bomb, and in a circuit they use electric current.
Do the Maths.
again,
ARE YOU FARKING BRAINLESS OR SOMETHING?!
put it this way...the tazer immobolizes using a high voltage, but low current. you need a higher current to flow from the body and to trigger off the detonators. still, even with that possible, the best hope in such a worst case scenario would be for the bomb to go blind. still, if the bomber were using a detonator as sensitive as what you suggest, the radio waves probably would have set it off before the currents got to them.
to be fair, from a completely neutral stand point, the marshals did the right thing. people react differently under real life and death, extreme stress situations. we can take heart that they did what they were trained to do. if you've ever been trained in such security measures, you would understand the need for what they did. the best case scenario would have been to issue one verbal warning, then if the suspect still moves, you have no choice but to shoot and kill. we were taught to make them raise they're hands, and spread they're fingers apart. failure to do so would result in a shot prefably into the medulla oblangata(brain stem), as a shot there would kill instantly without the person twitching.
we all may not like it, but that's how the world is turning out. in cases such as this, we have to be totally utilitarian and go for the greater good. but then again, preventive measures are always caught, damn if you do, damn if you don't.
