  I think they have the technological know how to do it. They have the market to support its own OS.
  
  I will think they can do better. FYI, they have single handlely developed their own version of WCdma, own wireless protocol, own Http protocol... things that you can see in internet.
  
  We have one more choice to choose from.

  They got shocked to know the latest Http protocol being developed and others support protocols for OS. This why many IT giants try to corner the China market. They even have the latest HTML or more powerful HTML. What you see this forum base on normal HTML.
  
  Well at least Chinese can catch up. Dont under estimate their capability.

  The First Computer was invented in China. I am sure you know what is Abacus.

  The west took the idea (Abacus)and created a gadget they called Computer.
  
  The L**nis OS come from Multice system which is an open-source OS. Now you have many version of this Os in diff names.
  
  The other OS also come from somewhere of Open-source ideas.
  
  2.Is the langauge matter to OS, English or Chinese or Japanese?
  
  If you have learnt Abacus, you will know how the system works in calculation.
  YOu can think in diff language and the system still works.......100%!
  
  In Computer, everything is in Binary. If you want English, just use some encoding system to work on the binary.

  The first car was manufactured in US and it is called "Ford". Today, you see more Honda and Toyota on the road than all the Ford, Chryler and BMW combined.
  
  Japanese has master the technology but they are not the first who invented.

  He's not saying China is not saying good english... he is saying without good english (which refers to having good mandarin in his context), you are as good as being trapped in China.
  
  China may be growing to be a big market... but if you restrict yourself to China... you will die with China.

  no matter what english is still the language for doing business. so i dont find learning chinese that important.
  well.. maybe learn it just for the sake of pleasing and building a closer relationship with the chinese.
  
  even china is learning english to compete with the rest of the world.
