There was once I came across an uncle that told me he was very hungry and needed some money to eat. I gave him 2 dollars to take a decent meal at a nearby coffeshop, and you know what he said? He said: "may I have 5 dollars instead?" I was like WTF... you want to eat KFC is it?!

I have bought tissue from that old lady too.
Really pityful.
People have been walking past her and pretend nothing.
All brothers and sisters, do help to buy 1 packet or 2.
Just give her a dollar or two after picking 1 or 2 packet of tissue.
She will appreciate it.
to be able to get a decent life. she need as least SGD 10 for each day. Not talking into consideration that she may need medical assistance too. -

Lets say the tissue old lady selling 3 for $2, even if you dun actually need the tissue papers, u can jus pay her $2 and take one packet. this is wat i usu do. i think it will make her feel better. and i believe most people who buy from her dun actually need tissue papers. After all, do we need a reason to help the elderly?
however, i urge all to not only help the old lady at bugis. She's jus one of the many old people on the streets needing help... -
