have you heard actuarial science?
is it very difficult to apply?
what is the requirement? all As plus 2 S paper?
GP B3 and above?
I heard from my friend that some of them drop out as the course is too difficult -

anybody else can advise? i can't really answer as i'm not from that field of study....
but i would think they care more abt your numerical subjects than anything else.... S paper or not... i dunno... as for GP... i would think as long as reasonable grade like at least a B something... should be fine?

Then you know what you are in for.. -

think your friend shouldn't worry too much... if he really has the interest, juz focus on what's important for this year first...
study smart for A-levels...
I believe there's some Joint Admission scheme ongoing for students nowadays? which means to say if a student's results are good enough for the course (irregardless ntu,nus,smu), the schools will inform him/her of the acceptance into the course... so maybe he'll end up with more than 1 school accepting him!
