Type of Electric Plug in Hong Kong

  Anybody can tell me if the electric power socket in Hong Kong is the same as Singapore? That is the 3 "flat-pin" plug.
  
  Heard that the 3 "round-pin" plug also used in Hong Kong.
  
  Can the Singapore type be used to charge the handphone in HK?

  It depends on where you is your accommodation. Most hotels in hongkong are using the electrical plug which same as we use in singapore.
  
  However, some economy class hostel are using slightly different plug. My suggestion is you go to any electrical shops in singapore (e.g. in chinatown), tell them you looking for an "international electrical plug". There are a lot of varieties, but just choose the hongkong one (three round pins).
  
  The other way, you could find one in the changi airport shops. No worry.

  scoll down to "hong kong" and then to "Sg". according to the info it should work if you can find the type G plug SSO. otherwise you may want to get an adapter once at HK to pug your G into their M. 220~230 voltage rating should be insugnificant according to the british standard. freq does matters and HK and SG share the same 50Hz range
