Daryl Hall and John Oates had a few damned good songs.. the last few like "Don't Hold Back Your Love" and "So Close" were sad in their own way..
some were pretty cool.. very 80s, like "One on One" and "Private Eyes"
never did like Styx

Well I would label it as country rock then. I know of this band of their 90s song called Love Is The Ritual and Show Me The Way. I got a compilation album of them and then later I know Styx is the name of a river mentioned in the bible and about Charon who moves along the river?

Not weird but super stylo milo for a country song you would say? Tat is why I label Styx as a rock rather than a country songs band. Your definition may differ though
The Grand Illusion, Madame Blue are just some other songs that dun really fit into the country genre of music. -
