I think the best levitation act I've ever seen would be the one done by David Copperfield.
Floated around the stage like nobody's business for about 5 mins and even went inside a glass box to prove to you that there were no wires involved in the trick.
I think delivery before the trick is important as well...
I like the way David Copperfield talked about his childhood dream to fly and it makes you relate to him...almost like the trick is done especially for you. -
Levitation feat has always mesmerized me for a very long time. If I have to sell my soul to the devil to get this gift I dun mind either. Just like ppl can have faith in an unseen G*d, I want my gift!!!!
