Urgent Query about renewal of books borrowed from NLB

  Urgent Question:
  
  When renewing the loan of books borrowed from NLB, can the borrower use his/her ezlink to pay for the renewal?
  
  Or is the renewal can only be paid thru the CashCard? Or both CC and ezlink?
  
  And usually when would the book be back on the respective racks after returning to the library?

  You can pay by cashcard at the counter or the machine itself

  just renewed my books...
  total 3 methods.
  
  can use ezlink to pay...but ezlink card cannot be giro-linked.
  
  can also pay by cashcard or by a prepaid account.
  
  Credit card not accepted.

  Ok, SGEMP.
  Renewal of books is via CashCard, fee is $1.50.
  The book will be shelved back once the returned book has sensitized. (It means that the book has confirmed returned)

  renewal fee is $0.50 per book.
  returned books are confirmed returned once it goes past the bookdrop sensor.
  how fast the book goes back to the shelves depends on how hardworking the duty librarian is.

  in fact, you can delay paying all fees and fines from the library indefinitely(*)... on one condition: keep the total amt owed below $5, otherwise you'll lose your borrowing ability.
  
  (*): most likely is not really "forever", but i delayed paying a fine for 3-4 months last year, and they never chased me for it.

  $0.50 renewal fee per book. renewal is usually done by re-borrowing a borrowed book at the self-check machine. the fee is charged to your library account which you can settle at the payment machines.
  
  you can pay with cashcard or ez-link card when you scan your identity card at the payment machines, which shld show all outstanding fines and a prompt to pay.
  
  note that you can use NETS at the library information counter should your outstanding due exceed $2.00.
  
  yes, you can owe the library money indefinitely though your borrowing privileges will be suspended once you exceed an amount in your library account (should be $2.00, not $5.00) until you settle the outstanding amount. the maximum fine for overdue borrowing will not exceed $5.50 per book.
