They even shared chocolate, sang carols, joked about, and went back to camp.
They then got screwed by main camp in respective countries... Britain and Germany both are angry because this is unplanned, and screwed the soldiers bad.
Next day war resumed.
I read this whole thing before, and from a Britain soldier's point of view... he also said that "he saw his friend got killed by a German sniper whom he shared chocolates with yesterday".
War sucks...

Yap its true, apparently it started with one side singing christmas song of their language and the other party apparently understood it was a christmas song and sang back another christmas song, gradually they dropped their weapon and celebrated christmas =/
