you are at 10th floor, the lift is on the 1st, the panel shows an 'up' button and a 'down' button...which one do you press?
the answer is the 'down' button...yes, many ppl know this, but there are ppl out there who thinks otherwise...they thought that by pressing the 'up' button, you are making the lift go up to their level...usually, it's those older ppl who does that, like, my mom or my dad-in-law, i guess it's kinda ok if they misunderstood the functions of the buttons...
but i know of a guy, degree holder no less, who thinks like those elderly...it makes you wonder where would the lift be if you're at the ground floor and the panel only has the button with the 'up' sign... -
in desperation, some press both............

err... if yr on the 10th floor... n ther was no higher floor... there wld oni b a down button....

at where i work, sometimes me at ground.....wanna go up
i have to take the lift down to B2, stay in the lift, then go back to ground, then go up
if not, if i wait for the basement ppl to fill up the lift, i will neber be able to get in the lift....... -

i only know that for some lifts, if u press two buttons at the same time e.g. 4th and 6th level buttons, instead of reaching the destinated floor, the lift will stop at the nearest floor. quite handy if u decided nt to go up.
