i noe mahjong can be played by 3 or 4 person but can it be played by 5 persons?

i used to do that if i damn tired and they play all day and night long.... get one more kaki and then share with the person.... -

Yah what they say is true...
Usually when you play with less than 4, u remove some tiles. The standard no. of everything is 4 sets of this n that. If you want to play normal game with 5 people - then u must create a 5th set of this n that lol...So taking turns each hand, or each round or whatever seems like the only way I can think of. -
