Donation Cards thru SAF

If you are/were a NSF, have you ever being handed a donation card and told to get a "minimum" donation figure?
If you are a regular, have you ever been handed a donation card every year and told to get a "minimum" donation figure?
And if yes to the above, how often that you actually needs to cough up with the "minimum" amount yourself so that you could "buy" your way out of any undue questions from your superiors?
Is all these necessary? Must there be a minimum sum for all cards?Do you feel unjust being treated this way?

I submittted my card with whatever I could raise.I didn't care about how much I was told.There is no legal basis and there is no General Orders of MINDEF compelling you to donate a certain sum of money, and the disclaimer in the whole fund-raiser clearly states in black and white that servicemen have no minimum sum to raise.

u can always complain if they force u to donate... better still tell ur mum to complaint straight to ur unit CO

i did not have a SAF donation card, but was asked to raise a lot of money for this year my school's NCC donation card...damn it!
but guess wad? i went overseas and did not care about the NCOs...and i raised 0 cents...hahaha

but dont you guys have to cough up some donation figure eventually?
It seems that such donation scheme is directed to the serviceman rather than the public. Somehow the organisation are promising these charities that a certain figure would be raised based on their own "quota" made on each serviceman.
End of the day, i felt like the organisation looked quite good having materialising such "promised figures" where we are taken as obedient soldiers to make that figure.
Arent we being led by the nose, telling us what should be done even though, its a voluntary donation?

Never, I always returned empty cards. The most with my name on it. 2 bucks max.

yes to all ur Q. i jus put e minimum into e card immediately each time i got a card. to save myself e time of going to ask around.
