What does Christmas means to you?

Just wondering, would you feel lonely or depress when you see couples on the street celebrating x'mas together? does it remind you of your past relationships or any failures?
It reminded me how lonely i am and really brings me to think how i broke up my recent relationship. pretty depress, and realised i've to do some reflections really.

I know looking at couples will sadden me. Never had a relationship before, pretty lonely most of the time. Christmas is just a holiday to me.
I am not a Christian, so its not a special day to me. Worst of all everyone is asking me for present exchange.
Sometimes I dun like Christmas. Feel compelled to find programme and celebrate with others. I oni like it for the shopping sales.

i dont like christmas..tried to find free friends but all got steady to go out with or other activity....no presents also..even from family..
these few days on my way off work, pass by orchard , city hall, doby gaut mrt station see so much couple..haiz

To me, it's Jesus's birthday - although it isn't exactly the date.
It's also a time to forgive and forget (doubt I can do the forget part...), to give and to love.
It's a time to share warmth and love with family and friends, drink, eat, make merry - sit and talk of the new year to come, and how we look forward to living through the coming new year.
If you find yourself alone on Christmas Eve or Day, count your blessings and consider yourself LUCKY - there are people alone, in pain, and in hospital or in jail or even worse - being extricated out of a car wreck in road accident soaked in blood.
Don'y cry over a small splinter in your skin, because others who have lost a limb, are glad to be alive.... -
Christmas is actually the only holiday (short of CNY) that I actually care about. And yes, seeing couples celebrating together does kind of makes me feel how lonely I am, considering that I was kind of rejected recently.
But then again, like ShutterBag says, it could be worse, though that is a rather pessimistic thought, if you ask me... -

Christmas means waste money buying things for others which they don't really need and buying things which you don't really need in the sales that come just after.
