many singaporeans are sadly just blind followers.I myself am a non-christian, but I still buy gifts for my friends. Why? Because everyone is doing it. The result is that Christmas seems to become a day of giving (like Valentine's Day) rather than celebrating Jesus' birthday.
pple do what, they follow.
they nv pause and think. what does xmas mean to me?
all flock to orchard road, thinking it is wintery?
i buy present, u buy present, all buy present.

It's not a religious day. It's not an obligational festival whereby everyone has to celebrate. It's a SEASON OF GIVING..
Well, if u dun wanna buy presents, or give to the poor, no one can force you right? Indeed! Many people can celebrate christmas however way they want.
But Christmas is not all about going to town and shop, it's not about getting drunk and being merry, it's not about eatting and hanging out with friends... Christmas is more than that. It's about Jesus.
And what is the season of giving all about? That first night of christmas, God gave His one and only Son, Jesus, that whoever believes in Him shall receive salvation and be free from the bondage of sin. Hence, Christmas is all about giving unconditionally to the ones you love even to those who have offended you.
Merry Christmas everyone! God Bless!

For Christians, its to celebrate the birth of Christ. For non Christians, its to celebrate a holiday, a chance to party.
Seriously, why all gey gao so much? Do we have to stay home and sulk on Christmas?
