Just to point out also Lazerlordz, you've illustrated very well some of the problems that come with a large church. Insincere believers or followers. Sometimes it might just be better for the church to focus on building up inside.

i mean, there's no such thing as a perfect church or a perfect pastor. different churches have different visions so it's not right to criticize other churches i believe. as a christian myself, it's important for every christian to read their bibles regularly so as to get fresh revelation from God and not to solely take every word the pastors say into context. what i mean is - what the pastors say may be true to a certain extent. however, one must still go back to the word of God.

as for rainee, she's open to christianity and the word "drag" is not the right word to use here. it totally insults me. -

Glad to see a more mature and objective discussion here as compared to the ramblings or a clueless extremist in the other thread. the only difference might be that of sun ho's crossover music into china, into taiwan, into europe and the US. many people are so paranoid over it and it's just her singing career and something that she wants to do.
as for the building itself, because we are so packed up every service, that our church has to enpand itself to a larger hall. we have altogether around 20000 members and if we don't build a larger church, it's going to cause some cramps.
many people do not understand what our church is doing and r criticizing it without much accurate proven evidences. becoz different churches have different heavenly visions and purposes, therefore, the public do not understand. and when toking about going to church to see for themselves, they back off.
if that's the case, i wonder when r they going to come up with solid defences for their opposing comments then. -

I agree with you as well that the Sun Ho factor has played a large part in things being blown out of proportion. Kind of the problem it is with public figures. It's really sad to see how a single member can become bigger than the church itself to the point that people don't see a difference between the church and the celeberity.
But ultimately, the church needs only be responsible to its congregration and not to the public. So all their pointless and clueless opposition counts for nought. -
