Help needed for chinese new year..

Recently i am holding an event for chinese new year..Anyone got any idea where can i get cheap buffet?also must b nice lah..hahaha..for around 60-70 pax..budget abt $110..abit little..i knw it's abit diff..Anyone got any lobang on tt?
Or i am thinking of getting steamboat..But where can i loan so many steamboat at a time?anyone got any idea where can i get it..OR any of ur friends or relative knw any shop which i can get it?or any wholesales company?
Or u all have any idea wat can i have beside buffet and steamboat? Thx alot alot.. -

you are like toking bout a budget of $1.60/pax. honestly you cant get any caterer to do for ya at tt cost.
its the festive period some more, the prices will b jacked up.
my suggestion is ask around yr aunts or uncles or frens relatives who can cook up a good fried bee hoon n stuff.
this is the only way i can think of to help u cut cost. -

60 - 70 pax? S$110 per pax budget?
or S$110 total budget??? can steamboat...
1. borrow steamboats from frens and neighbours. borrow small ones can liao. no need so big cause not much food to cook inside for $110 budget.
2. buy lotsa cheap vegetables like leafy caixin, lettuce, potatoes, onions, carrots, cucumbers. you can have a great vegetable steamboat.... use lotsa potatoes and onions so that soup very good favour & potatoes fill the stomach up...everyone will feel full especially after finishing the soup!
3. must have some meat, so throw in some fishballs, meatballs, slices of chicken meat (cheaper) and chicken feet (assume they are a delicacy...cheap what!), canned mushrooms (hosen whole button mushrooms like $0.90 each can)
4. then must still have main filling carbo - cook plain white rice. cheap and delicious must have!
5. u can still have deserrts - mix syrup ribena with water, freeze them in plastic bags and u get icy cool ribena ice to suck on!! great for kids especially!!!

or u try to forge $$

then u ahve enough for expensive buffet -

Can be done. But its Muslim food. I can intro you. But for 80 -70 pax might not be enuff. $110 might be enuff for 40 - 50 pax only. U want? Licenced Muslim caterer. its peak season n for oni bout $2.20/pax?
after deducting transportation. utilities and manpower. their cost for 'raw' food mus b dam cheap. -
