about writers and star gazers and other questions

when writing a story, what kind of technique is needed in order to appeal to the crowd, i meen even if u have finish writing the story, u post it it doesnt appeal to the readers, how u sove this?
how much does an astronomy get? and also do u nid to go overseas or migrate there?
till now i am still pretty confused on wat job i wish to take but i can tell you what r my interest :
1) Art (certain stuff like clay making, painting(though i suck in it), photography
2) dunno cooking (becoz i like to cook supper while everuy one is sleeping
3) studying fossils?? (reminds me of jurassic park)
4) i am not a gd writer though i write crap for ppl to see
5) tot of being a manga artist....

manga artist?? hmm, can u draw??? even if u can, ur storyline better be good =P u really cant earn much from drawing manga i think...
