usually easier to say no on the phone as u don't need to face the person. that's why people say that face-to-face see and talk is better...sincerity. so that means the opposite must be true!
heh heh...using a phone... u can cut off the onslaught of f**k & watsoever that may come your way with your 'no'... -

eh...it's harder to say no in the face...this morning, i was at citibank jurong east branch, as always, there were a few staffs standing by the entrance either trying to get you to sign up for a new investment plan or whatsoever, and as i was about to leave the bank, someone called out to me, introduced herself, and asked me for a few minutes of my time...
bear in mind that this is no chio bu, but somehow, i just can't seem to say 'no' to her...so she spent about 10mins trying to get me to sign up for some insurance coverage and when i declined, she moved on to the next plan...and after about 20mins, i politely turned her down again, apologised to her for wasting her time and left...
things like dat happened to me on the fone, and all i had to do is ask them to call back some other day, most of the time, they will forget, but if they do call back again, i'll simply say i'm not interested... -
why don't you call the bank and ask them to take you off the call list? it works for me.

It's always easier to reject someone on the phone rather than face to face, just like it's easier to lie to someone over the phone than face to face. Also, if anything, you can just cut the call, which is easier and faster than walking/running away.
