NEW YEARS EVE CELEBRATIONS ON/AROUND MOUNT FABER: THE JEWEL BOX AND SEAH IM CARPARK This year end countdown, find your Happy Ending to the year in the resplendent fairytale kingdom at The Jewel Box and around Mount Faber.
Countdown Dinner at The Jewel Box A limited and exclusive population of 999 guests will be able celebrate the high profile, glamorous and magical Countdown at The Jewel Box. On that mythical night, there will be six unique dining experiences for our guests to select from.
1. Banquet in the style of elfin kings and queens in the Faber Grand Ballroom. With decadent setting and ambience as well as delectable cuisine, guests can indulge in a sit- down fine dining reception with a magnificent view of the Singapore harbour. Our guests will be able to dine with our guest-of-honour of the night, the high society, the whoÂ’s who and the major corporate players in Singapore. This first-class countdown dinner will be accompanied with smoky tones of a soulful live jazz outfit: the top PhilippinesÂ’ Jazz Trio Extraordinaire, Rhea, Aida and Aziz.
2. Yet others may dine like lords and ladies at Faber Rock, where they will be treated to a magical “double-bonus” dining experience. First, they will savour exquisite dinner cuisine and unwind in the excitement and splendor of the daily Jewel Christmas Light Show. Featuring the spectacularly lighted World’s tallest artificial Christmas Tree* at 61 metres height, this light extravaganza will flash and change before their eyes to the accompaniment of music. Secondly, they will take pleasure in the best view during the spectacular Sky Symphony Countdown fireworks display at the stroke of midnight.
3. For those who fancy a more exclusive “chill out” dining experience, they will be spoilt for choice with three distinct venues of The Jewel Box, serving a generous international buffet spread throughout. Guests will lounge like dreamy bards and poets in The Altivo Bar, a cool elegant setting of rustic elegance; with koi ponds, chill-out music and timber decks, giving a view of the beautiful scenery of the offshore islands and a bright, busy harbour. In addition, favourite DJs of Singapore will be spinning music throughout the night. Otherwise, guests will feast at our new sophisticated and stylish Glass Bar that boasts walls, crockery of gleaming glass as well as floor to ceiling glass windows or lounge at Faber Hill Bistro, an intimate and idyllic haven, a setting of lush greenery and the melting light from the faraway city skyline against a backdrop of the night sky.
4. Most fantasy-like of all, however, might perhaps be the ethereal flight through the air that will be experienced by guests who have chosen to celebrate the end of the year with sky dining. Guests in cable cars will enjoy their wonderful meal in beautiful windowed cabins that will take them hovering high above shining water and emerald vegetation, and through tunnels of pulsating warm light sources; mimicking natural sunlight piercing through lush foliage. In addition, as they are approaching The Jewel Box from afar, they will be treated to an out-of-this-world scenery of luminous luster from both The Jewel Box and the WorldÂ’s Tallest Christmas Tree*, next to it.
The Canon Countdown Party 2006 Especially for the younger partygoers who want more action and excitement, we will be also organizing a Countdown Party at the space of Seah Im Carpark, proudly sponsored by Canon. Come 31 December 2005, Seah Im Carpark, right next to the Harbourfront MRT, will be transformed into the Canon Countdown Party: an energetic and vibrant party ground for thousands of party-goers all ready to usher in the new year with a big bang with the hippest music to groove to.
The fun doesnÂ’t just happen at the party; it starts on the way there! All one has to do is get a ride to the Canon Countdown Party on board the Canon Hippo Bus! Running at 45- minute intervals between 6-10pm from Orchard Paragon and City Hall MRT Station (North Bridge Road entrance), partygoers can expect lots of fun on this party popper filled bus. In addition, partygoers spotted partying hard, stand a chance to win a free taxi ride home! All they have to do is party hard, and get spotted and get their picture flashed across the screen onstage in front of thousands of partygoers.

WorldÂ’s First Self-Activated Fireworks from Cable Cars and One of SingaporeÂ’s Longest Fireworks Display at One Go At the stroke of midnight, whether youÂ’re up at The Jewel Box or down at Seah Im Carpark, bathe in a supernova of light and sound in one of SingaporeÂ’s longest fireworks display. Featuring 15 beautiful minutes of rainbow hued fireworks choreographed by fireworks specialist from France: Brezac Artifices, specially flown in for this event, and our local team, Spectaworks, this spectacular display will be complemented and orchestrated by resounding symphonies that will echo throughout Mount Faber. These epic sensations will explode from six venues across and about the hill namely Seah Im Carpark, rooftop of the HarbourFront Tower, mid-flight cable cars, Seah Im Tower, Mount Faber and finally the rooftop of The Jewel Box.
To top it all off, guests in cable cars will be able to experience a worldÂ’s first: self-activate firework mechanisms installed in the cabins and send showers of luminescence into the starry night around them, while being momentarily suspended in the midst of these flowering lights.
After the ebullient mass countdown, premiere local dj Sheik Haikel will spin music for a party that will send you on a pumping start into 2006!
