ya.. for 3months.. but don't you think all these kind of things always have one direction? Like the transport fees hike?
Just cannot understand the rationale behind. Look at the profit margin behind SP power, SMRT, ....etc..
go up 1.43 cents.. even they re-adjust it back down with 0.05 cents after 3 months.. Ppl would still have to pay for the 1 cent extra. Just add up the whole year of 2005, how much they have increased and how much they have re-adjust back..
Our bills are getting more and more expensive.. earning is not enough to pay the rich GLC.

Why is electricity prices affected by higher oil prices so much when gas (from Indonesia thru SembCorp) is primarily used to generate electricity? Why would anyone in the right mind continue to use expensive scarce oil to generate electricity when there's abundant cheaper gas around?
Even if oil is used, who is supplying oil to SP Power? SPC - another GLC?
Is SP Power saying when oil prices rise, they switch out of cheap gas to expensive oil? Of course not. More plausible is they could actually be using cheap gas to generate power but use higher oil prices to justify raising electricity prices!
And when oil prices fall in a big way, will electricity prices fall in tandem also or will they cook up another price-raising factor?
I smell a rip-off. Can CASE investigate?
