They are geeks who try to act "classy" by using "perfect" British English.

got one forum i go to is very strict on the language use....
cannot use short forms or lingo or funnie spellings...
this is bcos it's international forum
relli got ppl from all over the world participating
this is make sure everyone can read and understand the posts
the poor mod macham english teacher
have to help edit the posts.... correcting the spelling and make sure the terms are internationally understandable...
im ok with it
and i think it's very professional
though i have to read and re-read my post before i click submit.... -

for SMSing its alright to use short forms and all because its slower to type, and also you can only send 160 characters / sms.
when you see all the numbers and really short forms on the computer it just gets annoying. -
meaning annoying to appear in big screen ( which u can c better/ quickly,type faster n saves time ) ...as compared to handp which is less easier to see n yet sms so much daily also dun affect ur english ...so jenn u suggest full english on hp also huh
