I was just wondering, what if
1. China and Taiwan resolved their differences succesfully and that means peace for both sides forever and never ever a threat to Taiwan by China or anyone else for that matter and that means no more compulsory Military Service for the people
2. You could speak read and write perfect Chinese
3. You could get a very good job in Taiwan
4. You were offered Taiwan residency by the government of Taiwan
5. Taiwan's long term future is secure both politically and economcially and it will be very succesful in its economy.
Would you consider living in Taiwan? I was thinking that there are a few good ways in which Taiwan is better than Singapore, namely
1 The better and cooler weather. (Hot and humid weather is a common complaint among Singaporeans)
2. Larger physical land size which means much cheaper cars and houses, from what I know Taiwan cars are very cheap. That means being able to afford a car or even 2 and being able to get landed property. (Again the high cost of housing and cars is a chief complaint among Singaporeans)
3. More democratic practices and greater democracy. (good for those who dislike Singapore for its semmingly undemocratic practices) In Taiwan they have Western style democracy and politics.
